Awkwafina
Awkwafina was an American actor and musician from the United States who began her career with clever hip-hop raps that addressed racial and sexual identity with the most comical of perspectives. Then she moved on her reach to Hollywood. Nora Lum, born in Forest Hills Queens to Chinese and Korean immigrants, was her initial musical encounter. She performed on the trumpet. Then, she started the classical and hip-hop genres. In college she studied journalism and women's studies. It was also during this time that she spent one semester studying Mandarin in Beijing. It wasn't until she began focusing on music until after she graduated. Following her viral success through the Internet, her song My Vag was a reaction to the song of Mickey Avalon's My Dick. It eventually made its way onto her debut album Yellow Ranger. The album featured other popular hits, including the body positive Queef and the winking tour of her hometown NYC Bitche$1. This latter song was directly connected to Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide for 2015, which was a travel guide. As a musician and an author as her credentials, she determined to pursue a third endeavor actor. The actress has been in films like Neighbors 2, Storks, and Bad Rap. In 2018, she scored breakthrough role in a few notable films, including Dude Ocean's 8, and Crazy Rich Asians. The EP came out in June.
