Sadie Amara Calvano is an actor from America who has garnered fame as the character Violet Plunkett in the CBS sitcom 'Mom'. Calvano grew up in California, and initially was fascinated by at competitive gymnastics. In the end, however, Calvano chose to pursue acting as a profession. In 2010 she first appeared on the screen in an episode from the CBS series "NCIS.' Her big screen debut came a year after with the biographical "J Edgar". In the ensuing years she's been recognized to be one of the top young actors in the current industry. For her performance in "NCIS," she was nominated for a Young Artist Award for Best performance in a television Series Guest-starring Young Actress 11-15 years old in the year 2011. In 2013 she was nominated to win another Young Artist Award for her performance as a guest in the Disney XD comedy series 'Kickin' It'. Calvano had a significant role in "Mom", the series the first three seasons of and also made several cameos in Season 4. In 2015, her role in 'Mom" earned her an award called the Gracie Allen Award as Outstanding Female Actor - Rising Star.
