Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford, an American actress, singer and dancer. She began her Broadway career performing in musicals like Wicked, Legally Blonde, and Hair. The Tony Award was given to her for the role of Essie Carmichael. She was in You Can't Take It With You. Annaleigh Ashley, Tony Award winning actor and actress has collaborated with actors, directors, and directors on stage and screen for the entirety of her professional career. Ashford's next project will be a limited-edition Hulu show called Welcome to Chippendales, created by Robert Siegel. Ashford comes back to Broadway in the month of March 2023 in which he'll be starring alongside Josh Groban opposite Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd. The production is taking place at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. The group behind Hamilton production Jeffrey Seller and director Thomas Kail is at the control of the production. Ashford has acted as Paula Jones, the main character of Ryan Murphy's latest FX program American Crime Story Impeachment. It is based upon the national story of a scandal that included Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp and other major character. Ashford was a part of two seasons on the hit CBS comedy B Positive. It was developed by Marco Pennette, Chuck Lorre and Linda Lavin. It also starred Ben Vereen and Hector Elizondo. Other Broadway roles for Ashford include Sunday in the Park, with George Wicked legally Blonde, and the role of Lauren in Kinky Boots. For this performance she received a Tony Award nomination. She was born and raised in Denver Ashford has now divided the time in Los Angeles and New York.
